Assistant Project Manager
Job Description Bridgeline Exteriors is a Commercial Envelope, Framing and Capital Projects
installation company Nationwide. We provide our services all over the New England
area , Mid Atlantic and South East Regions.
We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager/ Supervisor in the Northeast to add to
our full docket of projects in our field management department focusing on exterior
envelope installation projects and in our Envelope and Capital Projects Divisions
(Restoration/Replacement). Your role is to assist the project management staff in the
following ways, weekly field project meetings as per projects require, assistance with
project management tasks which include change management, revision or review of
ongoing changes to documents, subcontractor relations and communications as well as
assigments, daily and weekly field reporting, creation and maintenance of project
schedules, as well as bi weekly internal project follow up meetings. Bridgeline believes
in education and training and is looking for a candidate who is confident, diplomatic, has
basic understanding of building envelope principles and materials who has had some
experience with carpentry. A willingness to learn, the ability to adapt in changing
working conditions as well as someone who has knowledge of how to use computer
systems and electronics is a must. Please have means of transportation as this is a field
position. Once the candidate has passed the 90 day probationary period a vehicle may
be assigned. Fluency in English is a must but spanish/portuguese speaking candidates
will be prioritized.
Responsbilities of the Assistant Project Manager ●Serve as the assistant to the Project Manager or Project Executive in his daily,
weekly and project related tasks.
● Keep an accurate schedule of the projects working on and update as progress
continues.
● Attend project weekly meetings with the team virtually or in person.
● Organize projects and budgets with Project Manager or Project Executive in the
internal Software provided and keep track with them on expenses and progress
billing.
● Maintain daily and weekly reporting on subcontractor progress and on project
deliverables.
● Implementation of job site work environment, structure and enforce guidelines
and create and equitable and positive field work environment using diplomacy
and advocacy for your contract and your crew.
● Organize logistics and materials on site and keep running tally of usage by way
of reporting, photo’s and video’s
● Lead morning Huddles on Job site
● Reporting of all invoices once approved by PM or PX
● Assist PM or PX in contract negotiation or invoice negotiation with vendors and
customers.
● Assist PM or PX with project budget and Gantt charts Skills ● Proven experience as a carpenter or person who has worked in the trades in the
field or in construction.
● Experience with leading teams a plus
● Familiarity with email scheduling tools, project management or estimation
softwares a plus.
● Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
● Attention to detail and problem solving skills
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills
● Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment
● A creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements and new innovative
solutions
● High School degree; additional qualification as a supervisor, assistant project
manager or project manager a plus.
