2017-2018 Board Induction and Design-Build Project Delivery in Highway Construction by Anne Gorczyca
Our Board induction event was a success! It started off with a delicious dinner and some mingling between our attendees. After eating dinner we went into a board room to hear Anne tell us about Build Project Delivery in highway construction. Anne shared with us the bidding process for the projects. Including what MassDot looks for in the bid packages and what decisions are made to choose the right project team.
She also shared with us some of the past projects, active projects and future projects. It was very exciting to hear about all the projects especially since so many of us saw these taking place during our commutes or look forward to some upcoming projects that will improve things significantly for everyone.
After listening from Anne we got going on the NAWIC Boston Board Induction portion. Liz Von Goeler who has been our NAWIC Boston Chapter President for the 2016-2017 year read out our new induction ceremony and welcomed the New 2017-2018 Board that is as follows:
