Are you Ready to Make a Measurable Difference?
NAWIC Boston was well represented at last week’s National Annual Meeting and Educational Conference in Anaheim California! The conference was full of inspiring speakers, powerhouse women, and great ideas for everyone to bring back to their chapters. Connie Leopard, 2016-2017 NAWIC National President put on a great conference as she concluded her year of Support Encourage Grow, and had keynote speaker Aimee Cohen, author of “Woman Up”, give a spectacular presentation to kick off the conference to focus on the seven deadly sins that sabotage our success as women.
NAWIC gave a big thank you and farewell to retiring Executive Vice President DeDe Hughes as she concludes her more than 21 years of service to NAWIC. DeDe was presented a beautiful quilt that the chapters participated in making, see if you can find NAWIC Boston’s square made by President Liz Von Goeler! Everyone also got to meet incoming superstar Beth Brookes who will be taking on the EVP role as we begin NAWIC’s next chapter.
During the Installation Luncheon we had the privilege of showing off Northeast Region’s very own Catherine Schoenenberger as she was installed as our next National President! There were so many lovely testimonials from friends and family showing just how amazing Catherine is and we are truly lucky to have her as our next president!
Catherine introduced us to our theme for next year, “Making a Measurable Difference”, and inspired the whole room to go back to our chapters and show how we can make a measurable difference in our own areas. As a chapter, we are ready and excited to take the many changes coming in the future and becoming a stronger chapter here in Boston. Get out your measuring tapes and continually let us know how we are doing!
Many of the presentations prepared are available on NAWIC website. Take a look! http://www.nawic.org/nawic/Handouts.asp
