What do you like the most about your job?

I work in Hospital Construction, and I like how at the end of the day I know what I am building will help someone else get better!

What advise would you give to anyone thinking about also working in this role?

It’s not always easy, and it moves very fast, but if you want a job that will always keep you on your toes and always learning new things then you are in the right place! Use every opportunity to learn, because every hiccup in a project will help you learn what to do and what not to do next time.

Are there any other people in your family in construction?

Not in the industry, but as a kid my father was into carpentry as a hobby, so I used to watch a lot of HGTV and This Old House with him!

If you were not working in the construction industry what would you like to work in?

If I wasn’t in construction I would want to go into Higher Education. I loved planning events and coordinating orientation in college and think it would be so much fun to do it as a career!

What would you tell anyone who is thinking about joining NAWIC?

I would tell them that they are in for an amazing time if they decide to join! NAWIC has introduced me to so many great women who have helped me further my career, helped me gain confidence in myself, and given me the opportunity to help other women the way they have helped me!

What has been your favorite NAWIC Event so far?

I know it isn’t a Boston Chapter Event, but every year I am blown away by NAWIC’s Annual Meeting and Educational Conference (AMEC). It is a fantastic event that I think everyone should attend at least once during their time in NAWIC. The powerful, strong, confident women that you meet from all different chapters really inspire you to be a better version of yourself in all areas of your life, not just work!

Which event/events are you super excited for the upcoming year?

I am looking forward to planning and attending the NAWIC Boston’s 60th Anniversary Event! It will only come around once and I hope to have an event that everyone wants to attend and will have a great time at!

What are your hobbies/interests?

I love crafting and cooking, I wish I could spend more time on both!

What fictional place would you like to go the most?

Hogwarts obviously, I am 100% obsessed with Harry Potter, and every year I hope they will send me my letter to start my Magical education!

If you didn’t have to sleep what would you do with the extra time?

If I didn’t have to sleep I would want to try out new recipes and cook a lot more.

What is your favorite food?

I love food, eating is pretty much the most important part of my day! My favorite food is Chicken Parm Pizza from the Eaglebrook Saloon in Norfolk MA which is where I grew up!

If you had unlimited funds to build a house what would the finish house be like and where would it be?

I haven’t thought about the whole house, but I would love to build a white kitchen, then put the red kitchen aid appliance line out on the counter!

How do you unwind after a long day of work?

My roommate and I will binge watch the food network for hours!
